At Ron Bentley & Sons Ltd we aim to offer a complete service for our clients.
Our policy of having in-house facilities for all processes - from typesetting and graphic design through to the conversion of the printed sheet into a finished product – helps us to maintain strict control over both quality and level of service.
ORIGINATION and DESIGN
We have many years' experience in designing printed matter. Whether you require business cards or a multi-page brochure, we understand that a well-presented product is essential for you either to create a good first impression or to maintain the image you have worked hard to acquire.
If you already have a defined house style and logo, we will work according to these. Alternatively we would be pleased to discuss providing an identity for your organisation.
Although predominantly Apple Macintosh based, our studio is also equipped with PCs and we can accept your digital files, in a suitable format, for either type of computer.
PRINTING
In our purpose-built pressroom we have two digital printers and three offset-litho presses (one single-colour, one two-colour and one four-colour).
This range of equipment gives us many options for the optimum method of printing your job, bearing in mind your requirements for price, speed, quality, the material on which the image is to be printed and the quantity to be produced.
PRINT FINISHING
With comprehensive facilities in our print finishing department, we can transform our printed sheets into a diverse range of finished products.
Facilities we offer in-house, for items we have printed include:
booklet-making – automatic line for collating together as many as 16 pre-printed sheets to make a 64-page booklet) then staple, fold and trim (Picture right) - folding – high-speed automatic folding machine
- scoring – hand or automatic creasing to prevent cracking of card or heavier papers when folded
- perforating
- serial numbering
- laminating – in matt or gloss plastic film to protect the face of the printed matter (Picture bottom right)
- encapsulation – plastic encapsulation with edge seals

die-cutting – special shapes e.g. T-Cards - wire binding – either standard book form or with calendar thumb-cut and hanger
